Sunday 3rd March 2024: Three Rivers Race at organised by Caradon Gig Club at Saltash Sailing Club

Official time 59.17 as started my Garmin just before the official start.

Great weather for the event, cool but also sunny. Started the day up at 5am and picked up by teammates Steve and Kevin. Travelled to Saltash to meet rest of the crew and to launch the borrowed gig Rhos as Maladron was having a painting makeover. The men’s crew was as follows: cox: Jim, 6: Mark, 5: Will, 4: Steve, 3 James, 2: Kevin and 1: me. As shown yesterday we were in Heat 3. We had a good start and completed the 6mile, 10km course in 59min 17sec. So good result for a scratch team with 3 Masters, 1 Supervet and a relatively new younger rower- results below.

I am also an amateur photographer trying to master my camera and GoPro to produce some great images in future. This blog will follow my fitness progress as well as blogging and taking photos and videos of interesting events on holiday or in the beautiful surroundings of Cornwall.
