Sunday 9th June 2024: PNPGC Learn to row/social row

After a busy week on a PNPGC social row with a couple of newer rowers which ended up quite exciting as we had to quickly row out to assist on a canoe that capsized with two individuals in the water which was quite cold. The lifeboat was called over the radio that beat us to it but we did retreive the paddle. It was quite choppy and windy and the individuals were picked up by the lifeboat and taken ashore to be transported to the local hospital by ambulance. The row back was against the wind and water became choppy. Crew was Coxs; Jim/Wendy 6: Jem, 5: Julie, 4: Gaz, 3: Me. 2: Chris, 1: Ivan, passenger and stand in rower for Ivan, James. Started on technique until incident and during the fast row out to the individuals in water. James and Jim took over from the newer rowers. Exciting row,
