Thursday 28th August 2025: PNPGC Men’s Row with fill in from PZ – Newlyn Harbour
Hard row in choppy waters with 24 mph windy gusts from Penzance Harbour to Newlyn Harbour. More Choppy than yesterday and cloudy with a few showers. Cox: Wendy, 6:Trev,5: Tina, 4: Steve, 3: Tom, 2: Me, 1: James.
Wednesday 27th August 2025: PNPGC Mixed Ladies Row: Rowed from PZ Harbour to Newlyn Harbour
Hard Row from PZ Harbour to Newlyn Harbour. Choppy seas in places but sunny ☀️. Nice weather for a row. Cox: James, 6: Trevor, 5: Jem, 4: Jayne, 3, Sally, 2: Wendy 1: Me.
Tuesday 26th August 2025: Short warm up WattBike ride along the Fulgaz San Francisco Harbour route followed by strength session
Warm up ride on WattBike following the San Francisco Harbour which reminded me when I was there several years back on a conference. Followed this with a strength session as shown below:
Sunday 24 August 2025: PNPGC Mixed Men’s row
Mixed Men’s row in choppy seas but sunny ☀️ weather. Cox: Wendy, 6: Tina, 5: Trev, 4: Steve, 3: James, 2: Me, 1: Sally. Followed by a few 🍻 in Longboat. Very busy in Penzance Harbour.
Thursday 21st August 2025: PNPGC Evening mixed social row
After going to Essex and back with no time to exercise had a lovely evening for a row with sunny and calm conditions. Two boats out and I was in Morladron. Cox: Wendy, 6: Kev, 5: Gillian, 4: Emma, 3: Jo 2: Me, 1: Alex. Followed by a few 🍻s in the Longboat.
Friday 15th August 2025: Morning fitness training walk & swim at Jubilee pool.i
4km walk to Jubilee pool for a continuous 1km swim with a few drills included to improve technique but need to enhance these over the coming weeks.
Wednesday 13th August 2025: Morning swim at Jubilee pool
walked 4.5km to Jubilee pool and back. At the pool did just over 1km swim including some drills to improve technique and speed. Cloudy ☁️ and warmish.
Tuesday 12th August 2025: couple of Concept 2 RowErg rows
Morning Concept 2 RowErg training rows
Sunday 10th August 2025: C2 RowErg training session followed by a quick strength session
Nice training row on the RowErg at different strokes rates including 20, 24 and 28. Followed this with quick strength circuit with bench press, bicep curl, squats, side bends, minute Planck and 50 crunches.
