Long MTB training ride after several years of not cycling 🚴 outside. Both Trevor and Steve on there 29ers were well ahead but happy how I performed on my 26 Giant MTB but need to get some clip in pedals and MTB shoes to get more power. Fairly hilly in places but stopped off for a pastie and coke at Philps In Hayle to get some calories in. Little knackered towards the end but excellent ride for aerobic fitness as well as strength in biking legs. Couple of photos of some interesting graffiti on the bridges and link to relive below

Quick hour MTB training ride to test out the bike for tomorrow’s with Trevor and Steve. Bike seems to be working well
After strength session did a spin on WattBike on the flat zwift route. Miss the ROUVY and Fulgaz rides as more scenic and ride routes numerous compared to WattBike and Zwift.
After Strength session a 20 minute WattBike test to determine FTP for regular sessions, however on Ergo setting seemed difficult to up the power going at 90 plus cadence. After this did a 1000m RowErg cool 😎 down as follows.
The row was low in power as a cool 😎 and need to maximize this as the gig rowing 🚣🏿 season progresses into next years local regattas and CPGA Championships.
After some strength training a WattBike virtual cycle building block session was undertaken to improve aerobic endurance by ramping up power and cadence in between recovery periods.
Nice training row in messy seas outside the harbour which was great training. Race starts, power pyramids and technique training. Good to be on the water again after celebrating my birthday 🥳 and limited rows due to weather. Cox: James, 6: Jem, 5: Julie, 4: Tina, 3: Trevor, 2: Alison, 1: Me . Wendy as coach.

After a strength session in the gym did a quick 12.5 Km virtual ride on the zwift course in London on the WattBike hitting almost 30 km/hr. Need to up this by increasing power.
