Monday 25th May 2026: Bank Holiday Row to Mousehole and Back with a few drinks in the Ship Inn

A nice steady row to Mousehole on a very hot day, Cox; Wendy, 6:Shelley, 5:Jem, 4:Steve, 3: James, 2: Me, 1: Trev.

Forgot to start watch the row over which was 6.84km , 57 minutes, 489 cals in the new gig and rowed against St Ives which was longer as we went to see the dolphins which were great. Also saw the paddle boat as we rowed, so a good day

The row back was 5.96km, 46mins, 374cals, 22 rpm, and 4.37/500 After the row and packed away the gigs we went to the Longboat for a few drinks

Wednesday 6th – Wednesday 20th May 2026; In Donegal at Betty’s Cottage

Quick week trip to Ireland to visit Betty’s Cottage and catching up with Jac’s Cousins and visiting a few places such as Do Castle

Also did a walk on our favourite beach on the odd day when it was not raining

The weather was bad and did a lot reading and finished madmen or heroes and the Chemist which was great as had no time in Barbados or Australia

Sunday 3rd May 2026: Morning swim at Trevassack Lake in Garras, Heston with Fran

Met up with Fran for a morning swim at Trvassack Lake. Chilly swim in the lake 15C. Did 22mins and just over 500 metres at a slow speed of 4.23/100 and 182 cals. Afterwards had a nice brunch in the cafe and a catch up with my daughter

On the way back saw some baby geese following their mother which was cute,

Friday 24th April 2026: Masters swim with Sea Swim Cornwall at St Ives Leisure Centre

Attended a Master’s session and completed 1075 metres of technique training sets. Issue with sinking legs and need to do further sessions to improve this in using swim buoy and flippers. 282 calls burnt and average of 3,22/100m which needs to be improved but also need to get into the different sets and lane swimming
