Monday 9th March 2026: Day 6: Exmouth/Ningaloo

Up early for a 200m swim in chalet resort swimming pool. Went to the beach near the resort but not a great beach so went back to the pool for a relaxing sunbath. Met Mark and wife from Essex (near where Jacqueline was born) were stranded as their flight was cancelled due to the Iran war situation and all flights Emirates and Qatar flights going to and from their hubs in Middle East have been cancelled. They gave us some good tips on what to do while we are in Exmouth as their daughter who also joined us has a job as a snorkel guide, In the evening walked to Whalers a local restaurant for dinner which was a snapper dish with Margaret River Rose wine.
