Tuesday 8th April 2025: PNPGC Men’s Scilly Crew Gig Training

Wind dropped again and sea much better than yesterday. Rowed out forcefully to Border Force boat πŸ›₯️. On way back did some starts and worked on technique. Good training session. Cox: Jim, 6: Steve, 5:Trev, 4: Ant, 3: James, 2: Me, 1: Duncan. Finally view of Scillonian that Pat us on the way back

Monday 7th April 2025: PNPGC Scilly Crew Training Gig Row

After rows being cancelled all last week due to too high winds. The PNPGC men’s crew went for a row in choppy seas as winds still strong. I didn’t start my Garmin watch until 20 minutes out and therefore another 2km in distance. Cox: James, 6: Jim, 5: Trev, 4: Steve, 3: Tom, 2: me and 1: Duncan. Afterwards went for a drink in the Longboat.

Monday 31st March 2025: PNPGC Men’s Scillies Crew Training Gig Row

Men’s training row in very choppy and messy seas. Plenty of start training and rowing 🚣 in these conditions: 6: Steve, 5: Trev, 4: Ant, 3: James, 2: Me, 1: Duncan. Got wet on the back. Went for a few beers 🍻 in Longboat afterwards.

Sunday 23 March 2025: Strength session followed by WattBike ride

Good workout πŸ‹οΈβ€β™‚οΈ by a series of strength exercises as shown above utilising a number of muscles as shown above. This was followed by an aerobic efficiency session on the WattBike with staged increases in power over 26 minutes and equivalent to almost 10 Km as shown below.
