Nice ๐ ๐ gig men’s crew row towards the Mount. Lots of technique and racing training. Cox: Julie, 6: Steve, 5: Me, 4: Chris, 3: Jonny, 2: Kevin and 1 Claire. Beautiful sunny day with a little bit of chop.

Nice couple of Concept2 RowErg training sessions of just over 2600m. Bringing the times down with better breathing ๐ฎโ๐จ. Can’t wait to get back on the water ๐ฃโโ๏ธ tomorrow morning as weather looks better for a good crew row. Followed this session with several strength ๐ช exercises with dumbbells and barbell weights for legs, core, arms etc. Two weeks to the Gig World Championships in the Scillies

With the weather wind ๐จ ๐ง๏ธ being awful decided on playing on the Concept2 Ergrow with a few interval sets starting with 8 x 30 seconds intervals and one called the magnificent 7 starting with 700m with 70sec rest then 600m with 60 sec rest, the 500m with 50sec rest, then 400m with 40sec rest, then 300m with 30sec rest, then 200m with 20 sec rest then 100m to finish. Fun ๐คฉ one to do. Total training done was 4916 which is great to top up my fitness for the Scillies and bringing down times on the PM5. Want to get well below well 2 minutes/500m on the PM5 by improving my technique on the Concept2. I followed this with around 20 minutes strength training with weights.

Easter ๐ฃ Men’s crew training with fill ins. Cox: Wendy, 6:Steve, 5: Me, 4: Jonny, 3: Alison, 2: Emma, 1: Julie. Sunny ๐ but breezy day. Plenty of technique training on length of stroke and timing. Went out of the harbour and very breezy but not too choppy.

on a beautiful sunny ๐ Good Friday, a lovely technical training row with reasonably calm waters. Practicing starts, racing turns and homing the stroke timing and length for racing. Cox: Julie, 6:Steve, 5: Me, 4: Jonny, 3: Sarah 2: Sara, 1: Jo .

Cox: Emily, 6: Lynette, 5: Jon, 4: Gary, 3: Pete, 2: Me, 1: Gary. However about 10 minutes is missing due to accidentally pushing the pause button โน๏ธ

Rowed for Coverack Super Vets at Helford River Gig Club Mini Scillies. After the really windy day on Friday, the wind had dropped a bit for the event to take place. We had a warm up row to the start with the wind to start the race. We started the race and was against the wind and in places driving rain. Great race and came 5 in Morah with a time of 16.20. Caradon came first in Ann Glanville with a time of 13.45, second Falmouth in Arvenack with a time of 14.40, Cadgewith in Spy with a time of 15.07, Helford in Helford in the time of 16.07.
