After yesterday evening CGC Supervets team first row did a bit of a technique row machine training on Concept2 ErgRow with RowAlong coach.

Training session with 3 other members of the Coverack Gig Club Supervets Scillies team. Cox: Sophie, 6: Gary 5: Louis, 4: Me, 3: Peter, 2: Andy 1: Lynette. Launched from Falmouth Watersports centre. 8×2 minute hard sessions with starts of 2 long, 4 fast followed by long race strokes.





10min technique training with RowAlong Instructor John Steventon followed by a 1km blast using some of the tips gained from this Youtube video. This was followed with some overhead lats, single dumbell rows, dead lifts with barbell and some other weight sessions on the arms.


PNPGC morning Gig Row: Cox: Julie, 6: Jayne, 5: Rachael, 4: Chris, 3: Jonny, 2: Me, 1: Kevin. Practiced racing starts, buoy turns, stroke technique. Smooth in Penzance harbour and a little choppy outside the harbour



Second day of doing a 5km workout on the Concept2 Ergrow as all rows are off due to dreadful weather. Shame as the Falmouth regatta at Mylor was cancelled 😪


5000m blast on Concept2 Ergrow. Need to get technique right to bring these times down. Looking to follow a few YouTube Rowalong and Dark Horse technique workouts sessions.

Long technical gig row out of Penzance harbour practicing race starts and lengthening stroke. Cox: Julie, 6: Tina, 5:Emma, 4: Me, 3: Steve, 2: Jemima, 1: Chris. Steve and myself changed to 5 and 6 respectively to work on a longer stroke. Quite Choppy and cold



Long Gig Row from Penzance Harbour round the Mount and back. Cox: Julie, 6: Tina, 5: Emma, 4:Steve, 3: Me, 2: Jemima, 2:Jayne. Cold cloudy evening but reasonably calm. Practice racing, race starts and stroke technique.
